ESB Networks Consultation - Call for Input on DSO PR5 Incentives Multi-Year Plans 2024-2028
In its role as Distribution System Operator (DSO), ESB Networks is publishing this Call for Input Consultation in relation to the PR5 DSO Incentives concerning flexibility, visibility, enhancing the independent role of the DSO, and improving estimated restoration time accuracy for customers. These align with Sections 8.4, 8.9, 8.10 & 8.11 of the CRU’s PR5 Regulatory Framework Incentives and Reporting (CRU/20/154) determination. ESB Networks has previously published the Multi-Year Plans for 2023-2027. The final four years of those plans (2023 – 2027) are the basis for this Call for Input into the development of the 2024-2028 plans.
Consultation question
Via this Call for Input Consultation, we invite stakeholder views on and input into the proposed approach in advance of our finalisation of the 2024-2028 Multi Year Plans, and our subsequent submission of same to the CRU.
Next Steps
The consultation period will run for four weeks, beginning on 14th August 2023, and closing on 11th September 2023 at 17:00pm.
***8TH SEPTEMBER 2023 UPDATE: Please note that the DSO has extended the deadline to 17:00 on 29th September 2023 for the Flexibility incentive only (Section 2.1 of the consultation paper). The deadline for the other three incentives remains the 11th September 2023 ***
