The ESB Networks Electrical Apprenticeship Programme is your gateway to a rewarding career in the energy sector, where you can energise your future and perhaps make a big difference for generations to come.
We offer a 4-year paid programme leading to QQI advanced level 6 Electrical trade certificate (minimum age 17).
Through hands-on training and classroom learning, apprentices will earn while they learn, while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and innovative industry. As part of ESB Networks, apprentices play a crucial role in delivering Ireland’s clean electric future.
Every year, four final year ESB Networks Electrical Apprentices compete in our Apprentice Network Technician of the Year competition. Apprentices take on challenges that Network Technicians face daily, to highlight the role we play in connecting Ireland to a clean electric future.

Please check your application thoroughly before sending it to us as we are unable to accept any changes once you have submitted. Ideally, ask someone to review your application for you to check that all fields are completed and details are correct.
We receive a considerable number of applications and review each one thoroughly, but we cannot give specific dates as to when you will hear about the status of your application.
