Today, Grace Park Educate Together School and ESB Networks are delighted to announce they will collaborate closely in support of ESB Networks’ second Beat the Peak initiative which aims to encourage organisations to pledge their commitment to help Beat the Peak.  Grace Park is the first school in Ireland to publicly support ESB Networks’ ‘Beat the Peak’ initiative.

ESB Networks is working with a range of companies, across all industries , on the steps they might take to move their electricity consumption away from peak times. Grace Park is committing to Beat the Peak by continuing to educate their children through a variety of different activities to support the security of electricity supply in Ireland while fully maintaining a busy school schedule. Aoife Bradish, Manager in ESB Networks, facilitated a STEM initiative with the entire school, explaining the importance of wind energy in Ireland and presented to the schools Green Committee on how they can beat the peak, both at home and at school.

Dr Ellen Diskin, Head of ESB Networks’ National Network, Local Connections Programme, adds:

"We are delighted to work with Grace Park Educate Together School as our first school organisation to join ESB Networks’ Beat the Peak Commercial Pledge initiative. Grace Park is leading by example, continuing to value the power of educating the younger generation on how we can Beat the Peak. We continue to encourage all businesses across Ireland to get involved and help Beat the Peak this winter’’.
