Public Lighting

Local Authorities are now responsible for the appointment of independent Public Lighting Contractors to work on public lighting mounted on ESB Networks' poles.

Contractors wishing to carry out public lighting work must be approved by the relevant Local Authority in accordance with ESB Networks’ requirements. We provide a specific training course for all public lighting contractors. This training must be requested by the Local Authority.
