Smart Meter Programme Now Expands to Include Day/Night Meter Exchanges

With over 1.4 million smart electricity meters already installed, the smart meter rollout programme continues across Ireland. From mid-September the programme will expand to also include upgrading Day/Night meters to smart Day/Night meters.

This will be a like for like meter exchange and there will be no change to customers’ existing Day/Night electricity price plan.

Once exchanged, customers will have access to the benefits of a smart meter which allows them to take more control of their electricity consumption, reduces the need for estimated bills (electricity usage is read automatically) and enables customers to access details of their electricity usage through ESB Networks Online Account available here on our website.
