ESB Networks Customer Information Update:

As part of ESB Networks’ strategy we are significantly investing in our infrastructure to provide our customers with a more resilient network. We would like to inform customers that planned outages to facilitate network upgrades in Balheary, Donabate, Lusk, Portane, Turvey and surrounding areas are scheduled to take place on a select number of dates from Friday 20th September up until the end of November 2024.

All customers impacted by planned outages have been or will be notified in advance via post with the time and date of the outage in their locality. Updates on the status of outages during works can be viewed on www.PowerCheck.ie

ESB Networks is investing in excess of €6.2m to upgrade infrastructure in this area in 2024 which will provide a more resilient network for customers, ensure more protection against severe weather events and provide a better quality of service for all our customers in the surrounding areas. Following the harvest of barley and wheat our crews are now able to access to the local infrastructure to conduct these works.

The upgrade will take place on an area-by-area basis over a two-month period, during the duration of the works some customers may experience more than one planned outage due to the large scale of upgrade works being conducted. ESB Networks is liaising with local schools and medical facilities to ensure alternative solutions are in place to mitigate against a loss of supply during the works.

During this time, additional work will be conducted as part of ESB Network’s timber cutting programme. All timber and vegetation that has been identified as impacting on the local network will be prioritised for cutting and removal.

Status updates and estimated restoration times of outages will be available on www.PowerCheck.ie. ESB Networks apologises for any inconvenience caused.
