Plan Consciously

• Where possible, shift the most energy intensive areas of production to non-peak times.
• Know machine start up times - avoid heavy machine idling or being kept on stand-by
• Shift EV charging (fleet and staff) outside of peak hours

Stopping the charging of 100 EVs and not using 50 heavy machinery items =~25,000kWh

Switch it Off

• Turn off any non-essential equipment both in plants and offices

500 monitors, 20 large screens, 50 heavy duty machinery, 5 lifts = 8,000 kWh

Be Smart with Space and Lighting

• Implement timing controls for heating / lighting within offices and plans
• Optimise office working space, only using selected meeting rooms and appliances. 

Switching off 50 industrial lights and 5 air condition units = 840kWH

Cleaning

• Move Cleaning services (Industrial & office based) Outside of peak times & where possible use less energy intensive cleaning methods 

Shifting 5 vacuum cleaners and 2 dishwashes = ~200kWh 

Good Maintenance

• Effective maintenance of electrical assets will help ensure that they do not require excess power for the same output 
• Establish a reporting issue protocol for appliances and assets
